Ramesh Prem - Vichitra Veena - AIR recordings

Here we present two beautiful recordings from the Archives of all India Radio. We recorded them in november 2017 from Raagam, the internet radio channel of AIR, which broadcasts 24 hours 7 days a week classical Indian music from the archives of AIR.
In 2013 we posted a private CD by Ramesh Prem, containing an EP and another AIR program by the artist.
A friend made these covers for these recordings. Many thanks to him.

As much as I hesitate to post anything other than a glowing comment on your wonderful blog I feel that I must state that the latest Ramesh Prem - Vichitra Veena - AIR is not a Flac or even a 320 quality file.

I have done a SPEK (spectrum analysis) of the Flac file and given my understanding of this analyser I believe the actual bit rate is probably 128kps. Not that it should matter unduly when such rare music is made available however it should not be posted as anything other than it actually is. I have tried to attached a copy of the analysis in the comments but was not able to do so.

I post this comment for your information and out of respect respect for the great work are doing in posting rare and wonderful music to which I and many other would otherwise have no access. If I am wrong in my reading of the analyizer I deeply apologize in advance.

Regards Steve

The reason might be that I recorded it from the internet radio Raagam and what they used might have been just an mp3 file. I recorded it with Apowersoft Free Audio Recorder in wave format. The wave file has 627 MB. Out of this then I made a 320 kps mp3 file and a flac file. But when the original file as used by the radio is only a 128 kps mp3 file, all this makes the quality of the music of course not better. Sorry.
